In New York City, a series of shocking, seemingly random murders draws the attention of NYPD detective Peter Nicholas. Each killer calmly claims their actions were commanded by a higher power, leaving authorities searching for a rational explanation. As the investigation deepens, Nicholas uncovers possible connections to a mysterious religious figure and begins to question official resistance to his findings. The case also forces Nicholas to confront unsettling details about his own past, blurring the line between faith, manipulation, and something far more disturbing at work in the city.
