In this 1987 sci-fi thriller, Laura and Steven Harding move their family to the seemingly peaceful town of Stepford, Connecticut. While Laura studies for the bar exam, Steven joins the secretive Men's Association, whose influence extends beyond the town's wives to their rebellious teens. As Laura and her children notice strange changes among their neighbors and classmates, they uncover a chilling plot to turn both women and teenagers into obedient, lifeless replicas. The Hardings must work together to escape before they, too, are transformed.
