Christine is a supernatural horror film directed by John Carpenter, adapted from Stephen King’s novel. The story follows high school student Arnie Cunningham, who purchases a worn 1958 Plymouth Fury and becomes increasingly obsessed with restoring it. As the car, named Christine, regains its former glory, Arnie’s personality shifts in troubling ways. His relationships with family and friends begin to deteriorate as strange and violent events surround the car, which seems to possess a will of its own.
