Dr. John Beck and his new bride Cathy set out on a honeymoon through the California desert, stopping to explore a remote cave system. After an unsettling encounter deep inside, John begins experiencing alarming physical changes and violent seizures that strain his marriage and draw the attention of local authorities. As unexplained attacks occur nearby, Cathy struggles to understand what is happening to the man she loves while John searches for answers within his own medical knowledge. Their journey leads back to the isolated caverns where the trouble first began, as the situation grows increasingly dangerous and impossible to ignore.
