Psychology graduate student Julia Lund is shaken when a childhood friend claims that the night terrors they once suffered were caused by mysterious creatures that prey from the darkness. After his disturbing warning, Julia reconnects with others who experienced similar childhood episodes. Soon, unexplained events, strange marks and frightening encounters make her question whether the terrors have truly returned. As darkness becomes increasingly threatening, Julia struggles to determine whether an unseen force is pursuing her or her childhood fears are resurfacing.
