Set in rural England, The Old Dark House (1963) follows an American car salesman who becomes stranded during a storm and takes shelter in a crumbling mansion. He finds himself among the bizarre and secretive Femm family, each a potential heir to a mysterious estate. As the night unfolds, strange events begin to occur and tensions rise. A storm outside rages on, while inside, the race to survive grows more dire by the hour.
