"Scanners" is a 1981 science fiction horror film directed by David Cronenberg. The story revolves around Cameron Vale, played by Stephen Lack, a troubled and homeless man with powerful telepathic and telekinetic abilities. He is recruited by a secret organization called ConSec, led by Dr. Paul Ruth (played by Patrick McGoohan), which aims to utilize scanners for their own purposes.
Vale becomes embroiled in a conflict with Darryl Revok, portrayed by Michael Ironside, a rogue scanner with dangerous intentions. Revok plans to build an army of scanners and overthrow ConSec.
