Description:
A team of specialists undertakes a high-risk scientific mission when experimental miniaturization technology is used to shrink a submarine and its crew to microscopic size. Injected into the body of a critically injured scientist, the group must navigate the human circulatory system to perform a delicate medical procedure from the inside. Operating under strict time limits and constant physical hazards, the mission blends Cold War tensions with imaginative science fiction concepts. The 1966 film is noted for its detailed production design and inventive visual effects.
