A young man and his girlfriend become responsible for a strange creature discovered during an archaeological expedition and brought back to the United States. The small being proves troublesome when it is stolen by a corrupt businessman with questionable motives. After being injured, the creature multiplies into several mischievous copies that roam freely, causing problems for anyone in their path. As the situation escalates, the group must find a way to stop the creatures before they cause further damage, while dealing with greedy schemes, local law enforcement, and unexpected consequences tied to the discovery.
