A mysterious disease begins destroying the world’s grass crops, including wheat, rice, and corn, leading to widespread famine and social collapse. As food shortages spark riots and governments struggle to maintain order, a London man gathers his family and a small group of companions to travel north to a remote valley where they hope to find safety. Their journey through a rapidly deteriorating countryside forces them to confront desperate people, difficult choices, and the harsh realities of survival in a world where resources have nearly vanished.
