Set in rural Tennessee, this 1987 science-fiction horror film follows a farming family whose land is forever changed after a mysterious meteorite crashes nearby. Tensions rise within the household as fear, suspicion, and isolation take hold, while a local doctor and civic leaders struggle with whether to expose the growing threat. Inspired by H. P. Lovecraft, the film blends rural drama with creeping cosmic unease.
