A luxury ocean liner on its final voyage becomes the setting for a large-scale maritime disaster when a sudden catastrophe leaves the ship overturned at sea. Cut off from conventional rescue routes, a small and diverse group of passengers must navigate the ship’s inverted interior in search of escape. Led by a determined preacher whose views challenge both faith and authority, the survivors face physical obstacles, limited resources, and mounting tensions. The film combines large-scale spectacle with character-driven drama typical of early 1970s ensemble disaster cinema.
