Television legend Valerie Harper stars as Carol, a mother who must make a desperate journey when she learns her son is hospitalized far away. With her husband out of reach, Carol drives alone from Phoenix to Denver.
Late at night and low on gas in an unfamiliar area, Carol encounters a highway patrolman ticketing a speeding motorist. Things take a terrifying turn when the officer is shot by the motorist, and Carol becomes the killer's next target.
