A brilliant scientist is killed in a tragic accident just as he is poised to receive international recognition for his work. Determined to preserve his son's intellect, a renowned surgeon devises an experimental procedure that places the man's brain inside a massive mechanical body. Hidden from the world, the experiment initially appears successful, but isolation and unforeseen consequences begin to alter the cyborg's behavior. As tensions rise, the family must confront the dangers created by a scientific breakthrough that has gone beyond its intended purpose.
