In this 1983 thriller based on Stephen King’s novel, a schoolteacher awakens from a five-year coma to discover he has developed psychic abilities. As he reluctantly uses his gift to help others, he becomes entangled in dangerous situations that force him to confront difficult moral choices. Directed by David Cronenberg, the film blends mystery, suspense, and supernatural elements against the backdrop of small-town Maine and the political arena.
