When the crew of the space shuttle Churchill discovers an enormous alien spacecraft hidden within Halley’s Comet, they bring three mysterious humanoid bodies aboard for study. After the shuttle returns to Earth under unexplained circumstances, the bodies are transferred to a London research facility. One awakens and escapes, revealing a deadly ability to drain the life force from humans. As the threat spreads through London, the Churchill’s surviving commander joins British authorities in a desperate effort to understand and contain the extraterrestrial visitors.
